04.30.11

Spent a couple days in Michigan with my family for my birthday!
Visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, Ohio on the way in.

Weather was crappy our whole trip, but I got a few good shots.

My Easter went swell.
Not.
Not if you think cleaning up a poopie, overflown toilet first thing in the morning is your idea of kicking off an awesome Easter.
As my brother-in-law says, Crappy Easter!
1st year anniversary came and went- ate delicious food including sushi and home baked ham. mmm. It was our early Easter celebration since he's working today. I suppose we sorta had an Easter Anniversary day.

I have nothing new to update........... yet. Been in a bah humbug mood all weekend. For legit reasons, I assure you. Having glaucoma testing done in my eyeball tomorrow morning. Really not looking forward to a dilated pupil for half the day.

And I just ate cake and a spoonful of potato salad for dinner.

I thought this was interesting- I was doing google searches for Greenwood Lake paintings, and came across this. It is an 1869 painting of Greenwood Lake that was done by Jasper Francis Cropsey.
Steve thinks he knows where this spot is.

04.14.11

My work hours are changing, which I'm thrilled about! I'll be able to cram more things in during the daylight hours.
Taking a very short trip soon! Vacation is near, and so is possibly repainting in the house. So much to do, so little time.

My one year wedding anniversary is coming up next week. I'm so very lucky and excited. I couldn't ask for a better partner to spend the rest of my life with, and I have no doubts that he feels the same.

Framed prints are for sale. The first one up being "Perched Pelican", the photo was taken in Key West in April of last year. I then used an antiquing process on the photo, and then had it printed on 12x16 canvas.
It sits inside an antiqued looking White Plain Poly frame- which is more like a plastic in case you're wondering what the hell a poly frame is. The backing is an acid-free foam core, and is complete with the hardware for hanging.

Framed Canvas Print is on sale for $120.00, or if you just want the Canvas Print alone WITHOUT the frame it's $90.00. Shipping is an additional $10.00 either way. Email misty.valenta@gmail.com if you're interested, I can then send you the Paypal information.
